Join us as we continue to grow in Christ! See below for information concerning the adult education classes and study groups that are currently offered.

  • Sunday morning Adult Classes are offered from 10:00 – 10:45 am for Fall 2007.  Visitors and new class members are always welcome in all classes.

(1) Bible Study: Isaiah -- This study is on the Book of Isaiah.  The class is supplementing its reading and discussion of the Scripture with John Calvin’s commentary on Isaiah.  The class meets Sunday morning in Room 5, with Scott Keyes facilitating.

(2) Why Jesus Matters This class is studying the book Why Jesus Matters, by Bruce Bickel and Stan Jantz, which looks at the impact that Jesus Christ has had in culture, ethics, and other areas.  The class is led by John Stocking and Tim Stuerzenberger and meets Sunday mornings in Room 4. 

(3)Bible Basics   A study of Exodus is led by Rev. Robin Lyn Valdez.  The class meets Sunday mornings in SoRelle Hall.  Click on the class webpage for a detailed class description and the reading assignment and questions for the next class session.   

  • Several weekday Bible studies are offered on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis:

(1)   Men’s Morning Bible Study --   The men meet each week on Tuesday mornings at 7 am for Bible study and breakfast at the IHOP restaurant in Euless at Hwy 183 and Murphy/Euless Westpark Way.  Contact Andy LeCocq, Tim Stuerzenberger, or Fred Thompson.

(2)   Men’s Evening Bible Study --   The men meet twice monthly on the first and third Wednesday at 6:30 pm for a brown bag dinner and Bible study at Emmanuel.  Contact Tim Stuerzenberger or Alan McGregor.

(3)   Esther Circle: For Everything a Season This group of ladies meets the second Tuesday of each month (September-May) at 9:45 am for Bible study and fellowship in Room 4.  They are studying For Everything a Season: A Study of the Liturgical Calendar.  Contact Jean Wilson for more information.  

(4)   Women’s Evening Bible Study: Becoming Women of Purpose – This group meets the first and third Thursdays of each month from 7:00-8:00 pm in Room 5.  The first meeting of the month begins with a pot-luck dinner at 6:30 pm.  They are studying the Bible and its guidance for our lives using the book Becoming Women of Purpose.  Contact Claire Morris for more information.
